This lantern used a single bulb to provide point light and dispersed 360 degree lighting suitable for outdoor activities.
In normal use the bulb is centred in the reflector and acts as an ordinary torch.
When used as a lantern the reflector is pulled forwards leaving the bulb behind in a opal diffused mid section. There are C cell and AA cell variants.
